Create A Brand Board

Before you go into your photoshoot it’s important that you have a really clear picture of your brand and how you think that relates to your photoshoot.

You can create a brand inspiration board using something like, Pinterest, Google, Instagram. Find images that mirror your branding, that you feel fit your ideal brand.

Pull inspiration from other brands you like or even your competitors. Whose branding photos do you love and what do you love about them?

Use a variety of images and sources as this will help you create a really effective brand board that will help you create your own perfect brand photography session!

Which is why it’s always one of my top tips for brand photography sessions as it will shape the look your shoot takes!

Picking the perfect location for your brand photography session is another top tip for you to consider. You have to pick a place you are comfortable with, that inspires you and matches your brand vision.

You can use images you put on your brand board as part of the inspiration for which location to choose. Choose a location that suits your brand.

For some people that could be woods, forests, beaches, country parks, cafes, cities. The list is endless it all really depends on what best resonates with you.

You could have it in more than one location, you could choose a few to give you a range of images.

Research different locations before your shoot and of course see if your photographer has any suggestions as we often know of places that perhaps you wouldn’t necessarily think about.

Remember that your photographer is there to guide you and help you any way they can. Don’t be afraid to talk to us about your worries or any anxiety you may have about the session.

You can talk to us for advice or inspiration on anything from your brand focus, your style for the shoot, the location and so much more.

Our job is to give you a wonderful experience and images at the end of it that will grow your business and brand!

Many photographers will have some form of getting to know you before the shoot, whether thats an email chat, a chat over zoom or on the phone. So have a list of questions etc ready that your photographer can help you with.
